FAQ

♥ Why don't you sell stickers and prints on here? ♥

I had to move stickers and prints onto Etsy only because the shipping on here was calculating some really wild prices, sorry! On Etsy I can more easily control/fix the shipping price for international shoppers.

♥ Do you design and hand-make everything? ♥

Everything you see here is designed by me - that means that any art you see here has been drawn by myself!

Stickers & Prints:

These are hand-made by myself. For both, I use a Canon PIXMA TS5352a Inkjet printer when printing.

♡ Stickers and sticker sheets: I print them on sticker paper (A4 sheets, various types*) and use a Cricut Explore 3 to cut them out. Some stickers have a laminate overlay applied before cutting.

♡ Art Prints: these are currently printed onto Canon Matte 170gsm A4 Photo Paper, but I am looking for a heavier weight paper that still has the same high quality. For A5 prints, I print two on one sheet and cut them with an office guillotine.

*if you're looking at making your own stickers and want to know what papers/overlays I use, feel free to contact me with the subject/title Query - Sticker Paper/Laminate at arcana@darkarcanum.art and I'll happily share what materials I use. I buy all my sticker paper and overlays on Amazon.

Clothing & Homeware:

I design the artwork for these, but these are Print on Demand (aka POD) products.

♡ What is POD?: When you order one of these products (such as a T-Shirt), the order goes to a manufacturer who will print and ship this on an order-by-order basis. I've tried to select products that can be printed by manufacturers in the UK, Europe and USA*, so that shipping costs and times for you are as low as possible.

♡ Why use POD?: Whilst this means I make less profit compared to alternative methods, the plus-side of POD is that I don't need to bulk order inventory from a manufacturer, and then store and ship that stock from home. It also means I can offer a greater range of sizes as I don't need to worry about limiting to myself to a small range because of manufacturing costs.

*some items can also be printed-on-demand in Australia and Asia. If you want to know if a particular item can be printed and shipped close to you, feel free to contact me  with the subject/title Query - POD Manufacturing Locations at arcana@darkarcanum.art

♥ What tools do you use for designing and making? ♥

I alternative between sketching with pencil and gel-pens in a sketchbook, or sketching in Clip Studio Paint Version 3 (CSP) - either on my desktop PC using a Wacom One tablet or on a Samsung Galaxy Tablet (S6, I think?)

Drawings are finished in CSP on my PC using the Wacom One tablet - I feel like I have greater control on PC and it doesn't lag as much.

Stickers and prints are printed using a Canon PIXMA TS5352a Inkjet printer. Stickers and sticker sheets are cut out using a Cricut Explore 3.

♡ What printing/cutting settings do you use?: I sadly can't advise on what settings I use for printing or cutting as this varies a lot, sorry! ;; For printing, I'd recommend looking at the manufacturer's instructions on the material you are using and doing a test print. For Cricut, I can only recommend looking at youtube for tutorials and doing test cuts as there are too many variables at play from what material you are using, whether or not you are laminating things, and how sharp/new your blades are. What works for one machine may not work for another.

♥ Do you take commissions? ♥

At the moment I am not accepting commission requests, sorry! ♡
